Why Go Kosher

Keeping Kosher falls into the category of commandments by G-d that are not accompanied by a direct reason.

First and foremost, we keep Kosher because it is G-d's infinite will and wisdom. We feel privileged to have the opportunity to connect with the Almighty by carrying out His will and command. By keeping to the dictates of Kashrus we maintain our spiritual and physical health.

Keeping Kosher as a family strengthens family unity and the family's Jewish identity. It also teaches children that there are certain boundaries of which the family approves and disapproves. This sense of discipline will strengthen children's value system in all areas of their life.

Keeping Kosher keeps us focused on our specific mission as the Jewish People; bringing G-d into every area of our lives making all our mundane activities holy, the culmination of which will result in the final redemption.
